Mexico City, June 2022
Dear Friends, peace,
Hope this letter makes it to you before your summer gets busy. I think the pictures speak for themselves!
I will also have a busy summer. In two weeks I am headed to southern Africa to inspect our adult-education projects there and meet with some of the priests we support. After more than two years’ absence! In the meantime, because of your generous donations we have been able to expand our help to two more very needy priests, Father Joseph in Malawi and Father Luis in Nicaragua. Thank you!
As you know, we also support lay missionaries in Central America. I have included pictures of Karla and Jose Felix in action in El Salvador.
On the farm in northern Mexico, we have begun this year’s lime harvest and will be sowing hot chilies this month. Say a little prayer for rain and good markets…
As I write this, news is coming in about the terrible Pentecost Day massacre in a Catholic church in Nigeria. The place it happened is very close to our main office in Nigeria (you can see pictures of Father Andrew, our local office director, in the attached report). I hope to be there in November: these terrible tragedies only convince me more of the need to strengthen the values-based education of adults in Africa. Join me in prayer for peace there and everywhere. I am praying for you!
Fr. Robert
